Red Carpet Studio - Butterfly Effect

Happy Sunday!  How are you all today?  I hope that you are having a glorious weekend.  I know that we are having a productive, yet fun weekend here.  I know that I got some scrappy time in this weekend, so it was especially happy for me.

Today at Red Carpet Studio, a new challenge is posted.  "The Butterfly Effect" - In which you are to create a card with a butterfly on it.  The challenge is sponsored by   Floppy Latte Digital Designs - Once you create your card with a butterfly on it, & submit it via the link at RCS, if your creation is chosen, you could win a $10 gift certificate at Floppy Latte Digital Designs.  So be sure to head right on over to RCS & submit your card for this awesome prize.

As you know, I am stamp challenged, & certainly digital stamp challenged.  However, I recently bought a set of Tombow makers, to help me along.  Floppy Latte Digital Designs provided us with a few of her wonderful butterfly digital stamps to use, & I chose the one below.  I used my new Tombow markers, & made this card:

I used a flower cardstock base, layered on cordinating cardstock, pop-dotted between the orange & green layer, & added a few embellishments.  Including stickles, & a glitter pen. However, this is one of those cards that I just did not fall in love with.  It is ok, but not WOW!!  So, I gave it another try with different colors:

Again, I used my Tombow markers for the butterfly, I pop-dotted between the white & red, added some ribbon, & flower stickers, & I even used my sparkly fluff on the dots. I really love that sparkly fluff stuff.  I should use it more.  I like this card better than the first one, but still not my best work.  I guess I just didn't have the mojo flowing this week.  Maybe next time.

Thank you for looking today.  Again, please be sure to head over to Red Carpet Studio & submit your card with a butterfly on it.  I am sure that it will be way better than mine! ;o)

Have a great rest of your day & see you back tomorrow for my Nuts About Sketches reveal.
