From Here 2 Scrapternity

Image
I would like to share with you today, a few other things that I created for the From Here 2 Scrapternity crop from a few weeks ago.  These 2 layouts were created for the challenges that I hosted for the crop.  In this first one, I asked everyone to use a sketch that I had found at Page Maps.  This is what I created with it:   The pictures is from 2010, when we were still in PA.  We had gone to Hershey's Candy Lane for the holidays.  They had it all decorated with beautiful lights, & had some of the rides open, & even Santa's reindeer.  We had gone w/ my parents, & taken the girls.  It was such a good time, but boy was it cold!  We even wound up buying a couple of blankets to make sure the girls were warm enough.  This is a self picture that we took.      This next layout was for the challenge that I posted using something on your project that began with each letter in the word, H.E.A.R.T.  I used H = heart border, E = a pic of Emma, A = the word Aro

Nuts About Sketches #254

Happy Monday!  With Monday comes a new gorgeous sketch at Nuts About Sketches .  I certainly don't need to talk it up any more than I already do, becuase you know I just love them!      The pictures are of the big ole mess that the girls made after they dumped every single toy bin that they had.  Then they would pile them up & sit in them.  They would be so proud of themselves, as you can see on Audra's face sitting in the blue bin.  The funny thing is, they still make big messes like this, the only difference now is that when they dump them, if everything isn't cleaned up by bed time, mommy gets a trash bag.  ;o) Be sure to visit NAS today to check out the new sketch. Have a great day!

From Here 2 Scrapternity Vintage Challenge

Image
As I mentioned, the week of February 8th -17th, there was a crop at From Here 2 Scrapternity .  There were great challenges, & prizes, & great friendships.  The gals there are so much fun!  You should really swing by sometime & get in on the fun.  Tell 'em that Liese sent you.  :o)   One of the challenges was to create a project that had a vintage feel to it.  It could be a card, layout, or anything that you wanted.  Immediately I knew that I was going to use this image:   I have had these vintage images in my stash for years now, & I never knew quite what to do with them.  This challenge was the perfect opportunity to put them to use.  I used pp from a mat stack that I had, that is very vintagey, a pre-cut border stip, random chipboard pieces that I had (the hearts are actually bright red & sparkly on the other side).  I used Queen & Co. bling, & random ribbon in my stash.  Of course, I inked the edges of the image with brown Quick Quotes Po

Hello!  It's Monday, so you know what happens on Mondays.  A new sketch is posted over at Nuts About Sketches.       These pictures are obviously from the Houston Rodeo.  When we moved to TX from PA we were so excited to go to the rodeo.  This was our first day there, & of course the girls had to have pink cowgirl hats!  As it turns out, we had gone 4x!  It was so much fun that we just couldn't help ourselves.  Speaking of which, I do believe that it starts up again in less than a month.....Yeeeee  hawwww!    Thanks for looking.  I hope you stop by Nuts About Sketches to check out the sketch & to see what the other DT members have created.    Have a good one.

Good morning.  I hope that you had a great weekend.  Mine was great!  I had gone to a friends lake house, & we scrapped, talked, ate, scrapped some more, sang, laughed, & just over all had a fabulous time.  I got a lot accomplished, but it never seems to be enough.  Thank you, Courtney, for a great weekend of crafting & friendship!!   Today at Nuts About Sketches , Shawn has posted a new sketch.  So much fun to work with.  This is what I created with it:    This was a funny thing to scrap.  My cousin Jason got married back in 2006.  It was a beautiful wedding, & a really fun day.  Everyone had a great time. Unfortunately, the married didn't last.  But we did get some great family photos.  Look at how tiny Emma was, she was 18 months old here, & I was prego with Audra.  Thank you for looking today.  If you haven't already, head over to NAS to check out the actual sketch. Have a great day!

Hello there.  Happy Monday.  Another great sketch was posted at Nuts About Sketches today, & as usual it was fabulous, & so much fun to work with.  It was kind of a challenge for me because it called for an 8x10 photo.  I don't usually use 8x10s on my layouts, but I found this pic, which was perfect.    This is Emma at 9 months old. This picture was taken professionally at Sears.  The only way that she would sit still for us was to have the bears, so we used them!!  Gone are the days of bald heads, & no shoes. I used all Basic Grey paper, stickers & brads.  I used Petaloo flowers across the bottom, & random gems for the centers of the sticker flowers.  Viola.  There you have it.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope to have a lot to post within the next week because I am going to an all weekend crop this coming weekend, PLUS From Here 2 Scrapternity is having an online crop February 8th-10th.  If you get the chance, become a member of the site &

More Baby Cards

Image
Hola!  It's a great day in Texas!  I hope that you are having as good a day wherever you are!    In continuing with the baby cards that I made for church, I found a card paper stack that I had in my stash. I have no idea where it came from, but there are all kinds of pretty different paper, not even baby related.  In that same paper pack, there are squares, & stickers, which I used for the center of each of the cards.  I inked a few, doodled on a few more, then used twine, ribbons, bling, buttons, & a few stick pins.  & after all is said & done, here are the final products:   My favorite is the middle one with the elephant.  I'm not sure why, but it just is.  Which one is your fave?  You could leave me a comment & let me know if you wish.  ;o)  Thank you for looking today.  I hope that you stop by again soon, I love visitors!
