Hello there!  What are you up to today?  Anything exciting?  I hope so! Today a new sketch is posted at Nuts About Sketches . This one was particularly fun.  I love layering, as I've mentioned before, & this sketched allowed for lots of layers.    Look at my little peanut again.  Audra is very happy that I've been scrapping her lately.  She was always asking why I had so many pictures/layouts of Emma, & not her.  She is about 2 months old here, & was starting to lift her head quite well.  Thank you for visiting me.  I hope to see you again soon.

Red Carpet Studio - The Secret Garden

Image
Hello Sunday!  With Sunday comes another movie card challenge at Red Carpet Studio , & it's a good one!  This challenge runs from  March 24th - March 30th.  The challenge, if you so choose to accept, is based on the movie  "The Secret Garden" where you must use flowers on your card.  This weeks challenge is sponsored by  Saturated Canary - http://saturated-canary.myshopify.com/  .  The lucky winner will win  2 digis of thier choice.   With that being said, here is what I created for this challenge using an image from Saturated Canary:       I used my Tombow markers (all of them, I think!  lol), & everything else is random. Random cardstock scraps, random twine, random flowers & jewels, & a touch of glitter from my glitter pen.    And, I loved this challenge so much, that I created this with one as well:   I used a prima flower, as well as petaloo flower strip, & there are flowers on the branches that the bird is sitt

It's another glorious Monday, in the middle of March!  It seems like just yesterday that we celebrating the new year.  I tell you, as I get older, the days, weeks, months just FLY by!  Time goes so fast!    It's Monday, so you know what I am going to say. Nuts About Sketches has a new sketch up today.  Another double page sketch at that. Here is my take on the sketch:       I used pink card stock, & fussy cut the big flowers out of patterned paper.  On the yellow & white ones, I used liquid pearls for a dimensional look, & the pink flowers I ued Glossy Accents.  I wish I would've used the Glossy Accents on all of them, but I still like the effect I got w/ the liquid pearls.  I embellished with jeweled brads, & doodled the lines around the outside of the pages.    The pictures are, of course, of the girls. At an early age they just loved each other.  Emma couldn't keep her hands off of Audra!!  So much so, that you can see, she picked

Happy Sunday!  I both love & hate Sundays!  I love them in the fact that I get to go to church, then relax & hang w/ my family.  I hate them because it signifies that the weekend is almost over.  Well, enjoy what is left of the day & savour every moment that you get with your family. Today at Red Carpet Studio a new card challenge has been posted. The challenge runs from  March 10th - 16th.  The challenge is based on the movie  "Leprechaun" - Use 2 shades of green on your card.  That is easy enough, right?  This weeks challenge is being sponsored by  Clearly Digi Stamps - http://www.cleardollarstamps.com/  & the prize will be a $15 digital stamp gift certificate.    Here is the card that I have created:     I used the October Afternoon "Night Light" line that had come out many years ago.  I loved that paper so much that I had bought multiple packs.  I have used it so much, but still have a lot of it left over.  Some little boy

Hello!  It is a glorious day, isn't it?  I am so glad that you have visited me today.    I am going to share with you a few more things from the From Here 2 Scrapternity crop from February.  I know that you have seen these images before, for work that I had done for The Red Carpet Studio Challenge blog, but I loved them so much, that I have used them again (& again, & again, &again).  I have actually made about 10 more cards with these images, for the babies at church.  I will spare you all that I have done, but I can say that I just love these digital images.   The challenge for the crop was to make 2 cards w/ stamped images, patterned paper, hearts, & a sentiment:     This image is from Saturated Canary .   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   This image is from Squigglefly.   Ok, so I don't have a sentiment, but honestly, I don't own many stamps, so a sentiment didn'

Hi there!  How are you today?  I hope that you are doing great.  Spring break is fast approaching, & the kids will have some well deserved time off from school.  Can you believe in about 2months, school will be over.  I can't!!  Boy time sure goes by so much faster than when I was in school!   I wanted to share with you a few more projects that I've done that were challenges at the From Here 2 Scrapternity crop a few weeks back.  Yes, I am still sharing these!  Before you know it, the next crop will be happening!    This layout was created for the Scraplift challenge.  A digital layout was given as inspiration, & we had to create our own as close to it as possible.  Here is my outcome:      I used Basic Grey paper, & embellishments, random buttons & ribbon, & my label maker for the subtitle.    The picture is from Emma's birthday in 2011.  We always got family pictures at birthday parties. I had made her a Rapunzel birthday cake, c

Nuts About Sketches - #255 - Good & Bad News

Image
Good news & bad news!  The bad news first:  My term with Nuts About Sketches has come to an end.  Oh it's a sad day in the Grassi house.  The good news is that I was selected to be on her team for the next term as well!  Yay!!  I just love being on Shawn's team!  The sketches are always so much fun, & I really love seeing what everyone does with them.  In order to apply for this term, we needed to use, of course, one of her sketches.  Here is the layout I submitted to reapply: The base is green card stock, I forget what the paper line is, but I fussy cut the flower from patterned paper.  I glimmer misted the chipboard green to make a stem, added random buttons, ribbon, thickers, & Tim Holtz mini word/phrases.  The pictures are of Emma, me, & my cousins son, Nicholas.  They were a little more than a year and a half here, & I was prego w/ Audra. They were quietly playing on my lap, but they were so cuddly.  We miss Nicholas so much!! Well, I am so thr

Before we get to all that fun information, I'd like to share my project with you. I created... Have I ever mentioned how much I now enjoy making cards!  I honestly used all scraps for this card.  I had a random piece of left over green cardstock.  I used my cricut to cut the clovers from the Designer's Calendar cartridge.  When I pulled the clovers off the paper, I just used the same paper, cut to size, for my card.  I then embossed the clovers
